South Newton – Temporary closure

Renovo Care will be temporarily closing its site at South Newton in Wiltshire while discussions continue with Bath, North-East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB) about the longer-term future of the site. 

This follows the decision by the ICB to move forward with its plans to focus on investing in home-based discharge pathways in the community and to reduce the numbers of escalation beds currently open across the System. 

The ICB has thanked Renovo colleagues for their support and commitment in enabling those beds to be opened in support of System flow pressures last winter, and in ensuring the best outcomes for our patients throughout the period that these beds have been open.
