South Newton Hospital, located 6 miles from Salisbury in Wiltshire, is an independent specialist neuro rehabilitation hospital for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of adults with neurological injury and conditions, including people with challenging behaviours and/or long-term conditions.
Our hospital is based in South Newton village with its picturesque outlook and peaceful surroundings.
Our interdisciplinary teams provide programmes of treatment, care and interventions with a goal-based approach. Our expert team includes a consultant in neurorehabilitation and on-site medical practitioner as well as registered nurses. We also offer a 7-day a week full suite of therapy provision through our specialist staff including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuro psychologists, dietitians and rehabilitation assistants.
Our teams work closely with patients, family members and other health professionals to support recovery and to promote independence, and we encourage families and friends to visit and take an active role in a patient’s neurorehabilitation journey. Our dedicated activities co-ordinator organises a range of vocational group and one-to-one activities to fit with patient interests.
Our main hospital building provides single occupancy bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and there is a fully equipped therapy suite with physiotherapy gym and hydrotherapy pool. Patients also have access to a communal lounge and established mature gardens. There are good links to major roads from the hospital site and free on-site parking.
