Elaine Builds her Self-Confidence

When we first met Elaine, she appeared not to have high self-confidence and her self-esteem was low. Elaine joined us at Swanborough House and began working with the therapy and rehabilitation teams to build on her confidence and find ways to manage her anxieties.

Elaine has worked really hard, and her determination has been outstanding! Elaine has a natural empathetic approach and really enjoys helping others. She now goes to our local shop independently every day where she purchases newspapers for two peers who are currently unable to do this but greatly value Elaine’s support in ensuring they have a paper to read.

At home, Elaine has developed her independent living skills and taken on responsibility for setting the tables for meals which she excels and is very particular to ensure she gets everything in the right place.
