Renovo Care has appointed Alastair Clegg as chief executive. He brings significant leadership and management experience to the position with a proven track record in managing complex organisational change whilst delivering results.
Alastair takes over from current chief executive Peter Kinsey who is retiring from the business.
Most recently Alastair has held senior roles at St Andrew’s Healthcare and The Huntercombe Group. He has also worked in the third sector for The Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise and within the social housing sector.
Alastair will drive the company’s commitment to continuing improvement to the support it provides for patients. His track record of working with patients, colleagues, commissioners and regulators to develop and improve services will be invaluable as Renovo Care establishes potential new services to help address the capacity pressures faced by the NHS and other care providers.
Mark Adams has been appointed as chairman to work alongside Alastair. He has many years’ experience in the social care sector and is CEO of health and social care charity Community Integrated Care, which supports around 4,000 individuals with learning disabilities or living with dementia.
Renovo Care is an independent specialist provider of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with neurological conditions including acquired brain injury (ABI) and progressive neurological disorders operates four services: Hollanden Park Hospital in Hildenborough, Kent, Swanborough House in Brighton, Victoria House in Farnborough and the new South Newton hospital near Salisbury.
Alastair Clegg said: “Renovo Care has excellent facilities, and I am looking forward to working with the teams across all the services to build on the progress that has already been made and implement the findings of the recent quality and practice review.
“This is a progressive, quality driven company and one I am very proud to be leading.”
Peter Kinsey said: “I’d like to pay tribute to the outstanding staff at Renovo Care who have worked so hard, in challenging circumstances, during my time here.
“Alastair comes with exactly the right experience and skills and his background in hospital care and senior leadership in the sector and more widely will be invaluable as the company moves forward and develops the hospitals and other services.”
